Aging is something every family will experience, but we do not talk enough about what it should look like. It should look like dignity. It should look like having choices, being surrounded by people who care, having access to good food, and being able to stay connected to the life you have built. Alzheimer’s can change so much, but it should never change the way we see the person living through it. Early awareness and diagnosis can give families something incredibly important: time. Time to prepare. Time to make decisions. Time to have conversations that might otherwise happen too late. Businesses and communities can help by creating better systems for aging adults and the people caring for them. Because a diagnosis is not the end of someone’s

story.

They are still someone’s mother, father, grandparent, friend, neighbor, and loved one. They still deserve to feel seen, valued, respected, and cared for.
