We never thought we would be sitting in a vet’s office wondering how we were going to save our family member. Our pet has been there through everything the good days, the bad days, when life was crashing down and the moments when we needed comfort without saying a word. When they got sick we didn’t hesitate to want the best care possible then we heard the bill. And suddenly we were forced to face a choice no family should have to make pay what we couldn’t afford or risk losing someone we loved. We weren’t choosing money over our pet. We simply didn’t have enough money to choose the care they needed and that is the part that hurts.
Love was never the problem. The cost was.
